Fender '70 Precision Bass, sunburst, made in Japan 1990. Well, this is cool. The '70 reissue P has the bold black logos and a slightly slimmer neck than the earlier styles; it's an instantly appealing look and an easy feel to get along with. This is a first year version of the reissue, so it's made with a sweet ash body. As such, it's got a bright, punchy, throaty growl that complements the traditional P-thump nicely. These early Fujigen basses are made of some awesome pieces of wood and are made with care and attention rarely surpassed precision by all but the fanciest USA instruments. It's also unusual to get a thirty year old instrument in this kind of condition; there's barely a mark on it. This is all class: juicy tone, suave looks, slick feel; a perfect example of Fender Japan's excellence.
