Fender '71 Reissue Tele, made in Japan 2010/11, gold burst finish.  At first glance, this appears to be a regular 2-tone-sunburst, but it doesn't take long to go 'aaaaah... wow that's different!' The finish is a metallic gold with a subtle sparkle to it, but with the ash body still showing through in all it's glory. It really does look incredible! For a Tele that's described as 'gold burst, gold hardware', it's got a certain subtle classiness that defies the name tag. The next thing to mention is the bridge: the Babicz Tele bridge allows a whole lot more contact between string and saddle. The design offers enhanced sustain, tone, tuning stability and more precise and stable adjustments; if you're not a fan of the the 3-saddle standard Tele bridge, you'll love this. The slim 70s neck features the less-common Rosewood board option; it feels great in the hands and lends a little warmth. The classic Tele-twang is all there, but with a nicely balanced midrange and some booming bass to match... it sounds excellent. The finish is original to the best of our knowledge, so this is certainly a rare bird. We all need a little luxury, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's some minor marks on the end of the headstock, some play wear on the guard and above the guard, and a couple of shallow scratches and minor dings on the back. The hardware has some minor pitting, but is in great shape. Overall: excellent condition (8.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets have a little wear but are in good shape, 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings, really tidy.
