Fender '73 Mustang, old candy apple red with spicy comp stripe, crafted in Japan 2007-10. Don't listen to me, just look at the pictures... there you go, you want it now, yes? Mustangs have been cool for five decades so far, and with a muscle car racing stripe, this one definitely continues the traditional swimmingly. The classic Mustang combo of a lightweight body, slim neck, short scale and cute vibrato make this an easy and fun player; it's hard to put down. The tone on the neck pickup is classic Mustang thick, stanky spank, but the bridge pickup has been switched for a cool Duncan Little '59, adding some crunch and heft to the equation. The two pickups still balance pretty nicely although the 'out of phase' switch position isn't as lo-fi as with two single coils. I'm not expecting this to hang around, so nab it quickly if you're in the mood.
