Fender Aerodyne Strat, medium scale model in gloss black, crafted in Japan 2006-08. The signature carved bound top of the Aerodyne series is instantly recognisable; it's s a sleek and sexy item. The radius top also means that the guitar super light: it's really effortless in the hands owing to a skinny neck, easy-access neck joint and short scale. The 24.75" Gibson-style scale lends the guitar a slinky feel, so you can easily do big bends and quick runs, but it also darkens up the tone significantly. The normal borderline-too-bright Strat bridge pickup suddenly just works perfectly: it's growly, full and warm with plenty of sizzle and cut; the Dimarzio pickups really deliver a whole lot of clarity. This is a really eye-catching Strat that's a tonne of fun to play.

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's a finish crack coming off the neck pocket, as well as a couple of dings on the back. There's a couple of minor marks near the input jack and on the top horn on the front. The guard has some standard scratches. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are in very good shape with minor wear only, 9/10 for life left. Sleek!
