Fender Am Standard P, charcoal frost, made in USA 2007. The grey is sleek hey! The American Standard series ran from 1987-2015, one of Fender's longest running offerings. This is a great example of that lineage: it's a sturdy, practical bass with great hardware and plenty of understated grunty tone. The neck is a modern C style shape, finished in a now-rubbed-up satin, with tall frets and a classy streaky rosewood board. Paired with a lightweight body, this feels great: intuitive, solid, easy. The tone is classic P stuff: midrange kick, tuneful lows, heaps of attack and roundness. The bridge and tuners and electronics are all super reliable and functional, which is what makes these USA instruments such a practical option for so many. Nothing wrong with this one!
