Fender American Standard Strat, 2007, butterscotch finish. This is a bit more orange than some other butterscotch guitars around, it's got a bit of a Big-Mac-cheese look that's pretty unique. This era of Am Standards are well regarded for quality and features; this one is stacks up nicely. The neck is a sweet, slim modern-C shape; slightly slimmer than a tradition '62 profile and finished in a super smooth satin finish; perfect for moving around quickly on. The pickups have been switched for a Fender Noiseless Strat set, which are bright, sparkly and extremely low on hum. The spanky, rich attack is on hand in spades; this has the long-admired charm that's kept the Strat at the centre of the guitar universe for seven decades. You can't go too wrong here!
