Fender '52 Tele, vintage natural, crafted in Japan 1997-8. This is a particularly pretty example of the always-awesome '52 style Tele. This model was a high-end offering from Fender Japan in it's day, so you get the good stuff: two piece ash body, soft-V style neck shape, brass saddles, USA-mdae overwound Texas Special single-coil pickups and the tasty vintage-style decals. That adds up a great time in the hands: the body is resonant and lively, the neck is straight, slim and comfy and the quality of fit and finish is immediately obvious. The tone offers the iconic 'Tele twang' with heaps of bright, articulate snap and sizzle, but it's balanced by an assured and full natural low end and a certain warmth and complexity... it's an audacious, satisfying tone. These seldom last long around here, so nab yourself a sweet blackguard and twangle yourself happy.
