Fender '54 Reissue Strat, vintage white, crafted in Japan 2002-04. This is a really lovely Strat, it's very good indeed. This was the most expensive non-signature model instrument in the Fender Japan catalog of it's day; it's very much a deluxe offering. It's a bit of a vintage/modern hybrid. You get some classic vintage features: soft V-neck with a classy maple board, single ply guard, 50s style decals and an alder body. You also get some modern touches: an active mid-boost circuit, 22 frets, a satin finish neck and a modern radius. It all works together brilliantly. The neck is super comfortable and an absolute breeze to move around on, it's very agreeable. Lace Sensors are brilliant pickups; the clarity and articulation are exceptional and the balance and transparency really translate the nuances of your playing. The mid boost is super handy: it allows you to go from classic, bright Strat spank to a thick, juicy P90-esque growl instantly. Aside from all that, it's basically gorgeous: that creamy white finish is all sorts of right. What a classy creation!

There's some wear along the edge of the fretboard. The back has some widespread but very minor buckle rash, and there's a couple of hairline cracks in the lacquer at the neck joint. There's some scuffs and marks around the edge, most notably near the rear strap pin, input jack and on the top edge near the shoulder carve. The front is pretty clean, just discolouration around the shoulder carve and behind the bridge and a bit of normal play scratching on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7.5/10).
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Electronics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, there's no major buzz issues but there is the start of some pitting, 6/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/46s.
