Fender '54 Strat, black, made in Japan 2008. Crispy tuxedo Strat goodness! Here we have a cool example of a 1954 style Strat, so it's got a soft-V neck with a 7.25" maple board, spaghetti logo, a single-ply guard, stamped saddles... all the cool little details. This model is also blessed with a set of Dimarzio pickups. They sound a bit like Texas Specials: heaps of low end, a crisp top end and a bit more output and punch than a regular vintage style single coil. They're low on noise and have plenty of clarity and sparkle. The neck feels really great, it's a lovely piece of maple with some tight grain patterns and it feels really alive in the hands. The classic black and white has an understated class about it, it really lets the tone do the talking. Given what this kind of cash would buy on the new market, this is an absolute monster for the money and will surely fill your Strat-shaped hole just right.
