Fender '57 Strat, candy apple red, made in Japan 1993-4. Here we have a really handy little Strat, it does the thing really well. These '57 style examples have a chunky D-shape neck, so you pick your notes a bit more carefully, but you gain a certain presence and snap in the tone department. We had our tech do a full new harness for this on arrival, so it's decked out with good guts and sounding crispy clean. The neck pickup is full and thick with plenty of snap, and those 'in between' positions deliver a tasty bright quack with plenty of nuance. The candy apple red is a perfect Strat finish, and with the aged plastics and golden maple board... yep, it looks great. Stratastic.
