Fender Strat, candy apple red, made in Japan 1993-4. This has got to be one of the lightest Strats we've ever had through the shop, at 3030g it's officially a featherweight champ. That makes for a fun feel: the chunky D-shape neck, resonant body and classic vintage hardware make for a lively, expressive experience. The tone on offer is snappy and crisp, balancing a piquant high end with a breathy fat bottom end and an understated, balanced midrange. The mint guard and perfect-toast-golden maple board pop nicely against the candy apple red body, the thing looks outstanding. This is just good old fashioned fun... we need more of that in life, right?
