Fender '62 Jazz, black, crafted in Japan 2002-4. This is a super playable, sensible, satisfying bass. You get a slim, quick sixties style neck, which is carved from some gorgeous maple and rosewood and feels very agreeable indeed. The body is well balanced and comfy to hold. Plugged in, there's plenty of signature J-growl, with a certain sweetness and clarity balanced with a percussive, punchy attack. You can cover a lot of ground with the tone, it's simple but just sits really. The classic tuxedo finish ties in well with the gold sixties style logo and toasty maple headstock, it's a slick look. If you're after a reliable, punchy working bass that sounds great, this one is very jood. Yes, with a 'j'.
