Fender '62 Jazz, vintage white, crafted in Japan 1999-02. This is a really fun bass, it's a good little friend to have. First up: it looks awesome. The combo of the creamy off white finish, red tort guard and dark streaky rosewood board make for a spicy combo... subtle, understated, but ver y appealing. The neck is typical vintage sixties C style shape, which feels really natural in the hands and makes for easy movement up and down the fretboard. The body is on the lightweight side for a J, but it's still balances nicely against the neck and resonates enthusiastically with each note. The tone is very palatable too: rounded, juicy low end, open midrange with a nice growl and a snappy, precise top end. If you're after a do-it-all simple vintage style bass, this will surely get you grinning.
