Fender '62 Jazz, sonic blue, made in Japan 2013. Sonic blue... tricky to find, but what a colour, right? The soft sky blue pops perfectly against the dark streaky rosewood board and the golden maple headstock, it's such a beautiful item. But, there's more to life than being really, really good looking. The neck is a slim, rounded sixties C shape, blessed with some superbly tightly grained maple and feeling perfectly quick and comfy. The body is nice and light, naturally resonant and well balanced against the neck; it feels lovely in the hands. Plugged in, there's absolutely no shortage of heft: round, thick natural lows with heaps of power, paired with a snappy high-mid growl and sweet clear top end... nothing fancy, just very tasty. If you want to have a bunch of fun playing the bass and look effortlessly chíc in teh process, here's your perfect companion.
