Fender '62 Precision, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1997-00. This is a classic little charmer with a lot to offer. The classic three tone finish brings out some subtle grain in the alder body, which pops perfectly against the red tort guard and luxury dark choc rosewood board. The neck is a classic 60s style C shape, so it's neither fat nor thin and delivers a consistent, reassuring feel from the nut right up to the body. Plugged-in, the USA pickup on this one delivers a whisker extra clarity and snap than you get from the more basic MIJ models, so there's a sweet tunefulness that complements the classic P-punch perfectly. This will prove a handy workhorse for a busy player, it's just right.
