Fender '62 Strat, sunburst, made in Japan 1993/4. If any guitar in the universe is 'often imitated', surely the '62 sunburst Strat has got to be it. The look is beyond classic, it's a genre all of it's own. This one dates to late in the Fujigen era of Fender Japan; the famed craftsmanship and tidy wood selection these models are famous for is definitely on offer here. It feels very reassuring in the hands; it's an easy player and has the instant mojo that comes with being 'made with love'. The tone is all-Strat: heaps of that classic spank, balanced by a crisp treble and a controlled, round low end. If you're hankering for a simple and effective daily player, here's a good one!
