Fender '62 Reissue Strat, lake placid blue, made in Japan 1990. This is a cool little made-to-order Strat; the LPB finish and pearl guard are non-catalog eccentricities that add some spice to the aesthetic. The finish has yellowed over the decades to a slightly uneven aquamarine hue, it's really quite delightful. Aside from looking good, this ticks all the other boxes too. The slim, round neck is an instant winner; it's an absolute breeze to play. The pickups produce a clear, airy take on the classic Strat-spank. It really does sound great, and owing to the famed craftsmanship of the Fujigen era Fenders, it has that 'thing' that makes it hard to put down. Ideally, pair this with a Hawaiian shirt and maximise your coastal cool.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end. The neck is pretty clean, just some light marks on the back, the most notable is behind the first fret; it's smooth in the hands. The back has some marks running along the edge of the body carve as well as around the outside, nothing too dramatic though. The sides are pretty clear, just some dimples in the shoulder area and around from the knobs. The front is pretty clean, just some uneven fading near the bridge, some dimples near the jack, some light scratches above and behind the bridge and some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have some light wear, they're in great shape; 8/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 11/49 strings.
