Fender '62 Tele, sunburst, crafted in Japan 2004-5. Some guitars have a rough background... exactly what events took place to leave this one looking like this isn't clear, but it's seen some things in it's time for sure. Crispy clean sunburst Teles are a dime a dozen though, right? There's a lot to like here. The many hours of play on the clock lend this some tasty visual wear, but also some added resonance and openness in the tone. The USA pickups deliver a clear, warm and full take on the Tele-twang; there's plenty of sweetness to balance the brightness. The neck feels awesome; the slim and round 60s profile feels quickly like a familiar friend. If you like your Teles classic, but with a dash of the strength of street knowledge, this is ready to rumble.

Overall: moderate finish wear. Headstock has some marks on the end and bottom edge. The neck is pretty clean and smooth in the hands, just some minor dimples up the back. Back has some widespread but minor scratches, scuffs and dimples, as well as a chip on the bottom horn. There's a lot of marks on the sides: scuffs and chips on the top horn, a bunch of chips and scratches on the shoulder, chips and dents near the rear strap pin, chips and scratches near the jack, a series of dings and chips around to the bottom horn. Front has a few marks, although they're mostly hanging over from the sides: chips on both horns and shoulder, as well as some dimples around the edge and play scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (6.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets are pretty even and have no pitting to speak of, they were likely recently levelled, but there's some normal wear there; 6/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 10/46s.
