Fender '62 Tele, double bound old lake placid, made in Japan 2015. Everyone hates these bound Teles, they look so gross... hahaha just kidding. The cream binding is like eyeliner for the lush metallic blue, it just brings out the glory that was there all along. The super streaky rosewood board and cute 60s style spaghetti logo round out the classy aesthetic. The neck is a fast friend, it's a slim C shape carved from some splendid maple, it really just feels *right* in the hands. There's a lot to love when you plug it in: the bridge pickup delivers spades of Tele twang, with a convincing low end punch and percussive attack to balance the natural brightness. The neck pickup has a sweet balance between shimmer and darkness too, it's got a certain eloquent manner and cleans up beautifully. These never last long, so don't dilly dally!
