Fender '69 Reissue Mustang, sonic blue, made in Japan 2010/11. There's not a lot that needs to be said here: having seen the pictures, you're likely either in love or you don't really get it. Mustangs have a certain stanky charm: the short scale, super slim neck, quirky trem and lightweight body make them an absolute breeze to play. The tone is thick and snappy with a heap of attack and not much sustain, there's a tasty moody darkness to the timbre that balances the jangle nicely. These always look best in the summery hues; surely the rosewood/tort/sonic blue combo is a breezy delight. Just add a big spring reverb and riff yourself into those warm summer evenings instantly.

Model: Fender Mustang, '69 Reissue (MG69)
Made: Japan 2010-11, Dyna plant (serial U011096)

Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale, 7.25" radius
Weight: 3.315kg
Mods: none
Pickups: Fender Japan MG Vintage single coils

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock and neck pretty clean. The back has a couple of light scuffs along the back edge and belly carve, no major marks. The sides are pretty tidy, just a few dimples on the shoulder and near the jack. The front is also nice and clean, just a few dimples behind the bridge and some play wear on and around the guard. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, 9/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.

This listing is an archived entry. We love to look back and remember fondly what characters we've had through the store, so we keep them around for reference.
