Fender '72 Tele, black on black, crafted in Japan 1997-00. There's something classy about a black Tele, and with a maple board, the bold CBS era logos and a smattering of little dings and marks, this certainly has an assertive aesthetic. The neck is slim, round and easy to get along with; it feels very sturdy and resonant in the hands. The pickups deliver a tidy twang; there's a nice natural bass to balance the brightness and a certain touch sensitivity that's a lot of fun to work with. If you like your guitars 'played in' rather than perfect, this one will have your back. Plus,it only leaves the house wearing black, just like you right?

The sides have a few marks: top horn has some dimples, the shoulder has a handful of chips, scuffs and dings, the back edge has a pretty noticeable scuffed/chipped section above and below the rear strap pin, there's some chips and scuffs along the bottom edge past the jack and down the horn. The front is cleaner than the rest; although there's still a few chips around the top horn, near the bridge and on the bottom edge near the jack. There's some rub wear and scratches around the shoulder and horns as well as on the guard. Overall: good condition (6.5/10)
