Fender '75 Jazz Bass, made in Japan 2010/11, vintage white. This is a truly terrific bass. The '75 style models with the bound board and block inlays have a strong and appealing aesthetic. It's most common to spy this model in a natural finish with a maple board; this is wearing the seldom-seen rosewood board and a non-catalog vintage white finish. It's really quite something to behold; it's the kind of bass that looks equally at home at a black tie gala as a sweaty punk show. Aside from looking great, this has a whole lot of personality to keep you interested. The USA ash body adds a certain tonal thickness through the midrange; this is bright, immediate, spanky and cuts through a mix with absolute confidence. The US pickups and rosewood board add a whisker of added low end and warmth; it's an absolutely perfect J-bass tone that'll easily match or surpass most USA made offerings. The slim neck features some slick grain and feels perfectly reassuring in the hands; it's a pleasure to move around on. This is a perfect example of just how good the high-end Fender Japan basses get: it'll deliver night after night with all the attitude and style you could possibly wish for.
