Fender JB75 Jazz Bass, candy apple red, made in Japan 2007-10. We get plenty of Fender Japan jazzers through, but these '75 style models with the block inlays, bound board and matching headstock are much harder to track down. It's a very cool look: equal parts classic and mean, and that deep red really pops paired with the JB-curves. The body is ash, but in a merciful twist, this weighs in at 4.2kg... pretty light. The tone on offer is a snappy, crisp take on the Jazz Bass growl. There's a lot to like, it sounds excellent. It's been a couple of years since we had one of these in this finish, so nab yourself a cool cucumber while it's going.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and bottom edge and a small chip on the front on the edge near the G tuning post. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor scuffs on the back only. The back has widespread light scuffs around the whole body, as well as some dimples in the elbow area, along the belly carve and in the bottom corner. The sides have minor dimples on both horns, some dents and dimples in the elbow area and some dents and scuffs near the jack. The front has some extra holes around the bridge from a since-removed cover, some scuffs on the elbow area and around the bridge, dimples near the jack and up from the pickups and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 9/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
