Fender Jaguar, made in Japan 1996, candy apple red. My my, this is a looker. The Jag is one of those body shapes that remains perpetually cool, and in candy apple red with an aged cream guard and smoky chromes, this one is surely dressed to impress. This one has the cute little 50th anniversary badge on the back of the headstock, placing it's birthday firmly in 1996. The neck is a slim and friendly number with a streaky, striking rosewood board; it's a nice thing in the hands. Tone-wise, this has that classic Jag-jangle in spades; plus 23 years of miles on the clock add a certain openness and warmth to the midrange. There's a lot to love here, and it's a pretty safe bet to say this will still be awesome in another 23 years.
