Fender Jag, candy apple red, crafted in Japan 1999-02. There's not much that needs to be said here, really the pictures tell the story. It's hard to think of a more attractive body shape for a guitar than the classic offset Jag, and surely, that candy apple finish hits all the lines just right. This one has been blessed with a black guard, adding a certain level of meanness to the aesthetic... it looks very, very good indeed. The neck on this one is a moderate, round C profile and feels instantly familiar; just like a good singalong chorus. The perfectly weighted body, slinky short scale and cheeky trem make for an addictive and easy player. I've set up enough of these now to know exactly how to get them purring nicely, so this is in great playing order. The dual circuit electronics allow you to dial in a thick, punchy rhythm tone on the top circuit and a biting, snappy lead sound on the lead circuit; it's heaps of fun once you get your head around it. Just add a nasty fuzz pedal and a giant spring reverb and you're well on your way to a good time.
