Fender Jaguar, crafted in Japan 1999-02, lake placid blue. My oh my, what a stunning piece of work this is. Offsets in this finish are frequently lusted-for but infrequently seen; but hark! Here it is today. This has the finish wear to suggest that it's seen more than a few hours of play in it's couple of decades on Earth: a few little chips and knocks, some fading, patina on the hardware... this is no wallflower. No doubt that contributes significantly to it's lively, charismatic demeanour in the hands. This really seems to hit back played hard; the body responds with enthusiasm to every stoke and pluck and offers a rich jangle filled with charm and swagger. The blue has yellowed slightly to an oceanic aqua hue, it really does look incredibly good and is surely destined for the stage. The classic Jag combo of short scale, slim neck, slick tremolo, perfectly balanced offset body and handy dual circuit electronics never gets old; there's a reason why they've adorned the shoulders of so many luminaries over the decades. I heard a rumour you'll gain instant master-level surfing skills simply by playing this guitar... could it be true?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's some scuffs and marks on the end and bottom edge of the headstock. The neck has a few minor dimples along the length of the back, but it feels very smooth in the hands. The back is pretty clean, just the start of some checking lines and a couple of very light surface scratches around the place. The sides have a few chips, as pictured: in the neck pocket (finish only), on the top horn, in the shoulder area and on the bottom horn. There's also some little scuffs and dents near the jack and on the shoulder and a little crack in the lacquer only on the bottom side of the neck pocket. The front is pretty good, just some dimples behind and above the bridge and on the top horn and some play wear on the guard. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have some normal wear inc minor pitting but no major buzz issues and are fairly even, 6/10 for life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
