Fender Jaguar, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1997-00. The Jag is well loved classic, and it's easy to see why: not many guitars look this cool, play this easily and sound this unique. The slinky short scale, slim round neck and perfectly weighted offset body mean you're never wrestling to get your notes out; this is very comfy in the hands. The dual-circuit electronics mean you can in a thick, swampy rhythm tone and easily switch to a sharp, bright lead tone instantly; once you get your head around them, it's all too easy. This one has a handful on knocks from 20ish years on the front lines, but the sunburst finish looks all the better for it. Pro tip: these have been cool for five decades so far, and they're still going to be cool for a few decades yet.

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's some marks on the end and bottom edge of the headstock. The neck is pretty clean, just a couple of little necks on the back near the nut, the 2nd fret and the 'crafted in Japan' decal. The back has a fair few small, shallow dents, the worst of them are near the bottom edge. The sides have some minor scuffs and chips; there's a pair of little chips in the shoulder carve area and another couple around from the jack. The front is pretty clean, just a few dings on the shoulder area, behind the bridge and some light play-scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. There's some light fret wear, 7/10 for life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
