Fender Jaguar, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1999-02. Will a dawn ever arise when a sunburst Jag is not a cool guitar? Probably not. This stylish creature looks the part: the classy three tone burst shows off the subtle alder grain and pops nicely against the tort guard and streaky rosewood board. The neck is slim and super comfy, between that and the short scale and perfectly weighted offset body, this is a superbly easy player. Plugged in, there's plenty of Jag-jangle on deck, but if you dial it in right you can pull a super juicy, thick rhythm tone with a rowdy punchy attack. The chrome knobs are a subtle classy touch and the Mustang bridge improves the trem somewhat, so that's handy. As Jake Peralta says: cool cool cool cool cool.
