Fender Jaguar in candy apple red, made in Japan in 2002-04, hot-rodded for extra fun. A previous owner has done a few sensible mods, so this one has a buzz-stop bar locking the vibrato system, the easier-to-manage Mustang bridge and locking tuners. The biggest mod, an unusual one, is the fretboard; it's been professionally scalloped from the twelfth fret. Scalloping allows for bigger, smoother bends without fretting out, as well as vastly improved capacity for vibrato; you can really work your high notes and get maximum expression for less effort. It also cleans up your attack and increases the sustain a little. The board looks a bit unusual, but it really adds up in the hands; this feels brilliant and is a whole lot of fun to play. The signature Jag-jangle is on tap in spades here; the dual circuit electronics mean you can dial in a thick rhythm tone then flick easily to a spanky, sparkly lead tone with absolute ease. There's not many cooler looking guitars around than a candy apple Jag... you might need some fly new boots to match?

Cosmetic condition notes: Mild finish wear. There's a few scratches and dings around the body, nothing too nasty. The most noticeable scratch is approx 2cm across and is on the back, which is otherwise largely spared of buckle rash. Overall: good condition.
Playing condition notes: Action is very low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Minor fret wear, but plenty of life left. All electrics tested and working properly. The mods are all significant but they all make sense when you plug in and play, the guitar has a great thick sound and easy feel.
