Fender Japan Jazzmaster, competition jupiter blue finish, made in Japan 2007-10. This is an extraordinary cool guitar. The finish is a deep indigo, varying from navy to purple depending on the light. The cream stripe and pearl guard offset the finish perfectly; it's a delight for the eyes. The perfectly balanced offset body shape and comfortable slim 60s style neck are instantly friendly; there's not many guitars more charming in the hands than a good Jazzmaster like this. A previous owner has gone to town on the remarkably sensible mods: Seymour Duncan pickups, an easily adjustable and stable bridge and an electronic once-over with some deluxe parts for improved durability and tone. The results are awesome: this packs a clarity, balance and articulate voice that's considerably more refined than a stock model. The clarity on tap opens up even more tonal options: smother it in layers of gain and ambience or clean it right up... it's brilliant either way. This is an absolute tone-monster looking for an ambitious partner for some sonic adventures; are you the one?

Model: Fender Japan Jazzmaster (JM66/CO)
Made: Japan, 2007-10, Tokai plant (serial T063670)
Finish: jupiter blue with cream competition stripe,  3-ply white pearl guard
Body: alder
Neck: maple with rosewood board, dot inlays
Mods: bridge replaced with Adjustomatic style, pickups replaced, orange drop cap, CTS pots and USA switches installed, string tree replaced
Pickup: appear to be Seymour Duncan SJM-1 set, not 100% sure on model
Case: none

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Neck and headstock pretty clean with only minor dimples. There's a few very light scratches on the back of the body, mostly near the strap pin and around from the top of the comp stripe. There's a couple of dings below the bridge and on the top horn, nothing major on the front really. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly; the upgrades maximise tone and minimise noise. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
