Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass, made in Japan 2007-10, vintage white. This is an absolute belter of a bass, it's very good indeed. The Marcus model is very similar to the '75 Reissue we're fond of around here, but with a hefty Badass II bridge and an active pre-amp. The pre-amp is awesome, you get volume controls for each pickup and a bass and treble boost/cut, allowing for some pretty precise tweaking and some really thick, fat tones. The combination of an ash body and a maple board always offers a focussed, bright tone with a heap of attack, so adding in the high mass bridge and the handy EQ really lets you take full advantage of all that natural tone. The neck is slim and quick and very sturdy, it's a reliable and easygoing partner for a working player. This model seldom pops up in white, the sunburst and natural finishes are far more common, and contrasting against that iconic large guard, the white looks awesome. This is one of those 'last bass you ever have to buy' type basses; it's hard to imagine a setting where this isn't going to absolutely eat up anything you ask it to. What a machine!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor marks on the end and bottom edge. The neck has a few small nicks running up the back, nothing nasty and it's smooth in the hands. The back has some light 'buckle rash' scratches and scuffs, no major marks though. The sides have some light scuffs on both horns and some small dents on the shoulder and near the jack. The front is pretty clean, just some minor pick marks above the bridge and pickups  and some play wear scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets look good, minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
