(SOLD) Fender Japan Mustang Bass MB-SD/CO Competition Fiesta Red 2010
Fender Mustang Bass, made in Japan 2010-11, fiesta red with a competition stripe. These are awesome, it radiates swagger. The Mustang Bass debuted in the mid 60s, offering a slim neck, short scale length, a small size offset body and simple electronics. All these years later, it's a winning combo: this is so much fun. The neck is comfy and quick, and the short scale makes it feel familiar if you're crossing over from electric guitar or more comfy if you have small hands. The tone on offer is pretty unique too: heaps of attack and punch, a naturally short sustain and a tuneful, rounded low end. It's great with a bit of drive of fuzz and excels especially for pun, grunge or surf style stuff. The striped finish and vintage-style decals make for a cheeky, disarming aesthetic. So cute, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has no major marks. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some dimples in the top horn and elbow area as well as a few minor scuffs around the middle of the body. The sides have a few dimples around the elbow area and near the jack, nothing nasty. The front has a few dimples around the controls and in the elbow area as well as some light play marks on the guard and horns. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 45/105s.
