Fender ST-Champ Mini Strat, sunburst, made in Japan 1993-4. These are a cute and quirky little thing! Fender was making a miniature version of the Strat and P Bass for a handful of years in the mid 90s; this is the 'Champ' model with a built-in amp and speaker. You can plug it in like a normal guitar; the tone is pretty hi-fi and works nicely. The internal amp cranks out a fairly nasty crunch; it's not exactly gig worthy but it's a lot of fun for riffing on the couch. The neck is a nice piece of maple and rosewood; they didn't skimp on materials and it feels tidy and well made. If you're after a fun little player for your loungeroom that doubles as a nice little collector's piece, this little Champ is a fun contender.
