Fender ST314-55 Strat, vintage white, made in Japan 1985. All hail the medium scale! Here's an idea that did well in Japan: take the Strat, but downsize the body by one eight, give it a nice slim fast neck and shorten the scale to a Gibson style 24.75" length. Frankly, it's a treat to play: slinky and easy in the hands, great ergonomics with the belly and  elbow carves, and as always with these 80s era Japan models, exemplary execution. The tone is very agreeable too, with a punchy fundamental note, creamy mids and a tuneful, smooth top end. The shorter scale means the sustain is a whisker shorter and you get a bit of extra bass, so for snarky riffs and aggressive rhythm stuff, this works a treat, The slick cream cheese white has aged gracefully too, it looks very suave. Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dents and dimples on the end, dimples on the bottom edge and back, dimples on the front near the serial and round section and a dent on front at the end on the edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, dimples and rub wear on the back only. The back has scuffs and dimples on both horns, scuffs and surface scratches along the belly carve and some dimples and scuffs in the elbow area, back edge and bottom corner. The sides have dimples on the top horn and elbow area, some dents dimples and scuffs near the jack and some rub wear on the bottom horn. The front has dents up from the pickups, dents and surface scratches in the elbow area, surface scratches around the bridge, dimples near the knobs and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
