Fender Japan Standard Jazz Bass, sunburst, made in Japan 2004-5. This is a simple, effective and attractive Jazz Bass. The J-Craft Standard series ran for many years and offered a trimmed-down version of the classic 1962 style Jazz Bass, but with a slick satin finish neck and the truss rod adjuster in a sensible spot. This one looks almost new, it's in remarkable condition. The burst finish shows off some tasty subtle grain and has a pleasing depth to the colours, and the rosewood board is a tasty dark, streaky example. The tone on offer is punchy, full and immediate with a nice balance of fat lows and snappy highs. You can't go too wrong here, this punches really hard and looks good doing it.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor dimples on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some glossing from play only. The back has no major marks, just a couple of dimples on the bottom edge and some light scuffs along the belly carve. The sides have a few dimples near the jack and on the elbow area. The front has some very light scuffs in the elbow area and some minor play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life. All electrics tested and working properly. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners Strings.
