Fender '75 Reissue Jazz Bass, classic 3-tone sunburst, crafted in Japan 2002-04. This is a startlingly effective tone-machine. The bass is a high-end model to start with; so you're getting a deluxe ash body and the beautiful bound maple neck to start off. The previous owner has fitted a Badass II bridge; this increases the brightness, sustain and clarity, giving the bass a huge amount of natural punch and projection. The pickups were also switched for a pair of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, which rule. They're wound a little hotter for high output, so they deliver a great thick, juicy growl that's harmonically rich and extremely sensitive. The tone is amazing, it'll easily hold it's own in just about any context, keeping the cheesy grin on your face with reckless abandon. The look is great too; the block inlays and light board really set off the beautiful grain of the ash on show under the sunburst finish; it's a classic that's easy to love. If you're after a working bass that'll deliver night after night, this could be your favourite new colleague.
