Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster, dragon graphics, made in Mexico 2020. Mr Page casts a shadow as large as anyone over the guitar universe, and while he might be more traditionally envisaged with a Les Paul, some of his finest work was accomplished with a stripped and painted blonde 60s Telecaster. It's pretty heavy, but heavier pieces of ash often have a certain tonal *thing*. This is bright and snappy, with a sparkling clarity that rewards a nuanced touch. The middle position almost sounds like a steel-string acoustic, such is it's zing and girth. The neck is a generous deep C shape, with a tasty rosewood slab board and aged style dot inlays. The mirror guard and dragon graphics are pretty out there, but hey, we don't love Led Zep for being conventional, right?
