Fender '62 Reissue P-Bass, made in Japan in 86-87, upgraded and refinished. This classy little killer has had 'the treatment' by our legendary partner in excellence, Jon Parsons of JPGW. It was stripped to the bare wood upon arrival, so Jon has sanded it smooth and applied a fresh hand-rubbed sunburst, finished in oil to a satin look. It surely looks phenomenal! The nature of the finish allows the angles of the body and grain of the wood to shine thorough, and it's extremely thin... so with a few hours of play, it'll naturally wear to gloss around the high-contact areas and look absolutely superb in a year or two. Aside from the looks, Jon also did a full re-wire with deluxe parts and installed a McNelly pickup. The pickups contributes to an excellent natural tone: noiseless, clear, full, warm, articulate, full and very sensitive. The body is nice and light, it's an exceptionally easy player with a whole stack of 80s-MIJ-magic. Jon's handiwork never lasts long around here; if you like it, don't wait too long.
