Fender MIJ Classic 60s Strat, vintage white, made in Japan 2016. Tasty white Strats seldom last long around here, it seems the ghost of Jimi haunts many of us. This is a pretty recent example of Fender Japan's take on the classic 1962 Strat, so you get a sweet slim neck with an elegant rosewood slab fretboard, which wins a lot of friends in the store as it's just very easy to get along with. The vintage white finish and mint green guard combo is a winner... everything is not quite white, it's just right. The tone is a punchy and sweet take on the classic Strat-spank, bright enough to cut through a mix but hefty enough to hit you in the chest on the low notes. All-in-all: white Strat goodness; the best kind of goodness.
