Fender MIJ Classic 70s Strat, surf green, made in Japan 2017. Can't lose with this, right? These 70s style Strats have a handy moderate U-shape neck, so it's a nice balance slim and chunky. The stock pickups are great, there's heaps of chime and snap through the top end balanced by a thick, self-assured bass response. It's got that classic Strat-spank, but with a nice body and depth to it. The surf green finish pops perfectly against the crisp white guard and dark rosewood board, it's such an appealing aesthetic. The big headstock is fun too, it adds a certain swagger to the look. These modern MIJ offerings are built to an exceptional standard, so this really feels complete and classy in the hands. So, as I said: you can't lose!
