Fender MIJ Trad 50s Strat, candy apple red, made in Japan 2019. This is a great Strat, it's got heaps of zing. This model is the spiritual successor to the long-running ST57, so you get the spaghetti logo, chunky neck with a maple board and a vintage 7.25" radius, a single ply guard and the classic Strat curves. It's a pretty lightweight example, plus the body is nice and resonant so it feels very agreeable in the hands. The tone on offer is bright and effervescent, with singing sweetness on the top end and an airy, musical midrange. The red finish pops nicely against the golden maple board, it's a treat. You can't go too wrong here.
