Fender MIJ Trad 60s Strat, candy tangerine, 2017. Phwoarr that's orange! This finish isn't one you see around a lot, but boy... it's got a muscle-car cool that's equal parts obnoxious and charming. The metallic finish has a nice depth to it and it's gaudy brightness is nicely offset by the charming mint guard and dark rosewood board; the guitar equivalent of 'business at the front, party at the back'. This arrived basically brand new; we peeled the plastics off the guard on arrival for photos; so save for a couple of little dents it's a very clean guitar with perfect unplayed frets. The slim neck with trad 7.25" radius is an absolute delight; it's supremely easy to play and a fast friend for sure. Combined with a lightweight body, this is an effortless player. Tone-wise, the vintage-voiced pickups dole out plenty of spank and sparkle, balanced by a thick, tight bass. It's got that classic Strat-thing; no nasty surprises there. If you're going to nab a Strat, it may as well be the orangest ever, right?
