Fender MIJ Trad 60s Telecaster Custom, double bound sonic blue, made in Japan 2019. The last one of these we scored (we've only ever had one other!) lasted all of ten minutes on the website... not surprising really, when it looks this good. The simple tweak of adding double binding to a 60s style Tele adds a whole lot of visual appeal; there's something that just pops about this. The sonic blue finish is gorgeous too; it's got a lovely summer-in-the-sixties aesthetic. The neck on this is a classic slim C style profile, it's supremely easy on the hands and features some gorgeous concentric maple grain on the back and a streaky, dark choc rosewood board... classy stuff. Plugged in, this has a superb snap to it, heaps of chime and sizzle and a fruity, tight bass response. It's a really balanced and pleasant take on the Tele twang: bright and responsive but warm and juicy. This might just be the best looking guitar in the shop, so hey, argue if you want, or... just make it yours?
