(SOLD) Fender Made in Japan Traditional 70s Stratocaster Natural 2020
Fender MIJ Trad 70s Strat, natural finish, 2020. You see a fair few of the recent MIJ Trad 50s and 60s Strats around, but these cool 70s models with the big CBS-era headstock are trickier to track down. It really does channel the 70s aesthetic: big bold black logos, bullet truss adjuster, block saddles, natural gloss finish, wavy ash grain... it doesn't come with flared cord pants, but it may as well. The neck is pretty beefy, it's a thick U-shape with plenty of depth, pretty similar to a number of late 70s Strats we've had through the store. Between the ash body, big maple neck and the vintage style single coils, this is bright as heck. It's chiming, clear and defined with a singing top end, perfect for percussive funk rhythm parts or smothered in reverb playing surf or spaghetti western leads. This one is almost in showroom shape too, it's so clean you could eat off it. Don't do that though, no need to be a grotbag.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock and neck are pretty clean, no major marks. The back has some minor scuffs around the cavity and near the rear strap pin. The sides have no major marks, just some minor dimples in the elbow area. The front has no major marks, just some light play wear on the guard and horn. Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is very low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are looking great, 9/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings.
