Fender New American Vintage Strat, sherwood green, made in USA 2013. This drips with majesty, plain and simple. Sherwood green is one of those finishes that we're always getting asked for, and not for no reason: it's such a gorgeous colour. The clay fretboard markers, dark rosewood board and mint green guard all add to the appeal: this is knockout pretty. The neck is a mildly hefty D-shape, there's a fair bit of meat in the back but it still feels super friendly in the hands. The super dark open pore rosewood board and concentrically grained gorgeous maple are quite something to see; it's certainly a sweet neck. The '59 style single coils are sweet, chimey, open and full of character. This has that perfect, crisp, clear spank to it; it's perfect for Jimi-style stuff or big, clean leads.... it's hard to put down. This one arrived with all the accessories and the original in great shape; it's a super handy bonus to get all the goodies in tow. I can't remember the last time I saw one of these around in these parts, but hey, I'll remember this one for a long while yet!
