(ARCHIVE) Fender Standard Precision Bass Blizzard Pearl 2006
- Description
- Guitarchives
Fender Standard P Bass, blizzard pearl finish, made in Mexico 2006. This is a great bass; simple and effective. In 2006 Fender did some limited run finish options to commemorate their 60th anniversary, so this is finished in a slick metallic silver they called blizzard pearl. The guard has been switched for a dark tort, which always looks good, so it's certainly a slick looker. The pickup has been changed for a Duncan Quarter Pound; it's a winner: hot output, super punchy attack but with a heap of clarity and definition and a sweet tight, fat low end. The high mass bridge adds a little snap and clarity as well, so this really sounds great. The neck is a comfy modern C profile and makes friends easily; it's intuitive and has a certain classic feel to it. This is a handy and simple bass; it'll surely slot nicely into your life.
