Fernandes JG-45, very bright yellow, made in Taiwan circa 1999. Fernandes have enjoyed longstanding success and respect on the local Japanese market; they're brought a lot of cool innovations and great models out over the years. These JG series models popped up briefly in the late 90s, an oh boy, these are cool. Here we have the classic offset shape, paired with a sensible, smooth and sturdy two point Strat trem, a 25.5" scale neck with a shreddable 13.75" radius and easy-access neck joint and a pair of humbuckers. It's a great combo: this is a super easy player, perfectly balanced and a lot of fun. It's got a handy three way splitter switch, which allows for some single coil and out-of-phase tones alongside the standard crunchy HB options. The yellow finish is a curiosity: these pop up in some funky non-catalog finishes occasionally, and this punch-in-head canary yellow with matching headstock is delightfully gaudy. If you're after a mean riff monster in a bright yellow stage jacket, here's your new best mate.
