FGN Neo Classic LP Jr style, vintage sunburst, made in Japan 2010. FGN is the house brand for legendary Japanese guitar builder Fujigen Gakki, who've made some of the best production model guitars ever for industry behemoths like Fender and Ibanez. The Neo Classic series is their higher-end vintage style offerings. The execution is exceptionally good: the fit and finish is perfect, the 'Circle Fretting System' means the frets are slightly curved for maximum sustain and better intonation and the wood selection on offer is superb. It's a lively, resonant creation, so it snaps back at you beautifully with every note you play and you feel your chords ringing around the body. The P-90 style pickup delivers a gorgeous singing top end with remarkable clarity and note separation, balanced by a midrange with heaps of girth and complexity and a punchy, full low end. The finish is a 'clownburst' style vintage sunburst, so the yellow in the middle is solid, while the back of the body is finished in a dark stain so you can see the glory of the African mahogany grain. It's a gorgeous fifties style look. This absolutely rules, so do yourself a FVR.
