Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured Vintage Sunburst 2011
Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured, vintage sunburst, made in USA 2011. Very pretty, very pretty! This particular Dot has a whole lot of lovely detail in the figured maple top and back. The sunburst finish is very dark around the outsides, fading to a warm amber in the middle with plenty of pop and pizzazz. The neck is carved from some lush mahogany and dark rosewood, shaped to a moderate '59 style profile that's somewhere between a D and a C in shape. It's a comfy, lively player that sits very nicely in the hands. The Burstbucker pickups have a recognisable voice. The neck is smooth and gooey, with a warbling complexity that's perfect for jazz stuff. The bridge pickup is much more abrupt, with an assertive midrange kick that loves a dirty amp and lends lead lines a wailing, expressive voice. This is a super classy guitar, it will surely add some sophistication to your life. We all need a bit of that.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dents on the end and some light scuffs on the front around the posts. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has has a bald patch in the middle of the body with some rub wear around it, as well as some light scuffs on the shoulders, back edge and elbow area. The sides have dimples on the top horn and elbow area and some light scuffs near the jack. The front has dimples near the jack and tailpiece, scuffs in the elbow area and back edge and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 7/10, minor wear only
