Gibson LP Junior, cherry, made in USA 1990. This is such a fun guitar. The Junior has gone through a few iterations over the years, and this is one of the more unusual examples you're likely to see. There's some classic vintage appointments: flat top slab style mahogany body, simple electronics, single dog-ear soapbar, gold silkscreen logo. You also get some era-specific touches: Grover mini kidney bean tuners, a slim fast neck shape, a noiseless P-100 pickup and the tune-o-matic and stoptail combo bridge/tailpiece instead of a wraparound style. Those 1990 specs are more than fine with me: this is a fast, easy, fun player with heaps of personality. The tone on deck is warm and snarly, with that certain lively gregarious attack typical of a single pickup LP, but... no hum, yum yum. The gloss nitro cherry finish is in good shape, but has enough honest play wear and general fading etc to lend this a little bit of swagger. If you can't enjoy yourself playing this, you need the kind of help even Luke isn't qualified to give.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some minor chips on the end and light scuffs on both edges and on the front around some of the posts. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor scuffs and very light dimples on the back only. The back has minor scuffs around the whole body and some dimples along the back edge, nothing nasty. The sides have some dimples and light scuffs on the top horn, elbow area and near the jack. The front has dimples near the knobs, scuffs behind the tailpiece and elbow area and some standard play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have some normal wear but they're fairly even with no major buzz issues, 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
